Al-Majboos, or Al-Makkbous, is a popular dish widely recognized in Qatar and the Gulf countries. It is cooked as a main meal on regular days as well as during holidays, special occasions, and weddings. Majboos is distinguished by the spices used in it, which give it a unique flavor that sets it apart from other dishes. It is typically cooked with meat, chicken, or fish. Among the well-known varieties of Majboos in Qatari society are Al-Badawi and Al-Kabsa Al-Bayda (white Kabsa). It is usually eaten during lunchtime and remains a main dish in Qatari cuisine today.
