Truffles are known as “truffles” or “truffles” in the Moroccan countries, while they are known as “faq’a” in Qatar and the Arabian Peninsula. They have many uses, as they are used in preparing some types of foods and sweets. They are characterized by their regular, soft, fleshy spherical shape and smooth surface. Their color varies from white to black, and their sizes vary, some of which are the size of an orange, and some of which are the size of a hazelnut. There are many types of truffles that differ from each other in terms of smell and taste, depending on the type of land and soil in which they grow (hard or soft), as well as the type of trees and plants that grow around them. Among these types, we can mention:
– “Khalasi” truffles, distinguished by their dark red color and hard shell.
– “Zubaidi” truffles, distinguished by their white color and distinctive smell.
– “Jabaa” truffles, distinguished by their color close to dark black.
– “Hooper” truffles, distinguished by their black color.
